Multiple times a year Auktionshaus Saarbrücken is offering you the chance to purchase art and antiques in our auctions. You will find find pieces or art  such as paintings, prints, aquarelles, drawings, photographs, miniatures, and sculptures from different epochs.

In our auctions we offer you art pieces from Asia and Africa as well as rare archaeological objects from different cultures.

You can find a great selection of porcelain, ceramics, glass, watches, jewelry, and silver. Our range of items on sale in our auctions continues from Art Nouveau, military and studentic objects to design pieces.

Always on auction are exciting pieces of furniture, carpets, icons, books, toys, and curiosities.

Sometimes a selection of wine and spirits complete the auctions.

Before the auction

If you are interested in what we have on offer please do not hesitate and join our next auction.

Every lot of an auction is represented by photo and text description in a catalogue. Around three weeks before the auction the catalogue can be seen on both our website and the website of our partner lot-tissimo. A printed version of the catalogue is available upon request. 

Prior to each auction all items on sale can be personally inspected in our premises.
On request a detailed condition report is available for any items you are interested in.

You can register with us as a bidder should you wish to bid in an auction. We woud love to welcome you in our auction hall during our auctions. Should you not be able to show up in person you can bid for your desired items in written form. Additionally we offer our service to give you a call during auction or you can do live bidding by internet.

Registration as a bidder is possible by filling in the “Form for absente Bidders” and sending it back to us by email, fax or post. Please make sure to include your full contact details including your full postal address, Email address and phone number so we can get in touch with you.

You can also register at as a telephone bidder, place a written bid or log in for live bidding.

The Auction

Every auction is open to everyone and takes place at our premises. In addition you can watch our auctions live via lot-tissimo. The auctioneer will call each lot during the auction. The limit price stated in the catalogue is the initial asking price. As a general rule the bid price is increased in 10 percent steps. Bids submitted in writing, registration for telephone bidding and for live bidding should be made not later than 24 hours before the auction. After this limit a successful registration can not be guaranteed.

After the Auction

A few days after the auction the highest bidder receives their invoice by post or email. The invoice details the hammer price, taxes and our commission fee as well as the costs for packaging and posting. In case you placed your bid as a live bidder you will find the additional 3 percent fee for live-bidding included in your total. Shipping is approved as soon as the total of the invoice was paid and credited to our accounts. We will pack your treasures with care and send the package as soon as possible. Please be aware that transport and the risk for damage or loss are at the expense and the responsibility of the buyer.

Post-auction sale

All lots which are not sold during the auction can be bought for the limit price plus commission incl. VAT. The post-auction sale lasts for four weeks starting on the day of the auction. Bids below limit price will be accepted during post-auction-sale and processed shortly after the end of the four weeks period.
